Meet Our Teachers Sally Newton With a love for children, Sally started teaching at FCNS in 1984 and was named the director in 1989. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Child Development from California State University, Northridge and a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Pacific Oaks College. Sally retired in May 2023 after serving our FCNS community for 39 years, but still serves as a valuable advisor to Miss Melissa. |
Micky Wennekamp Known for her creative ideas for interactive play, Micky teaches both three year-old classes and has been teaching at FCNS since 1991. She earned an Early Childhood Teaching certificate from Fullerton College and attained over 24 units in Child Development. |
Jackie Jimenez
Teacher, 4 year old class
Working with children has always been her passion. Jackie has been working with young children since 2014, and has been an elementary tutor for almost 6 years. She is working to obtain her Bacholors in Communications with a minor in Child development from Cal State Fullerton. She is currently taking child development units at Santa Ana Community College. Her hobbies, when not working, are spending a day at the beach with her dog, hiking, or traveling to a new state. Jackie has an adventurous soul and likes traveling to discover new places! Teacher, Parent/Toddler Class
Miss Melissa has been teaching for 28 years, and has worked with children of all ages as an infant and toddler caregiver, a preschool teacher, and as the director of a preschool and school-age, extended-day program. She has a bachelor's degree in Child and Adolescent Development. Melissa started working at FCNS in 2018 as a long-term sub. She is now the teacher of our Parent/Toddler Class.
